My Life Lately | Coming back to Blogging?
Wednesday, May 31, 2017Hey, guys! Long time no see! It's been such a long time since I've talked to you guys~ and so much has happened since then. I just...
So, first thing. The last time I updated you all, was on my birthday and I'd just started my internship in Merodea. Now almost four months later, here I am! So I'm just going to go over all the things that's happened:
- I N T E R N S H I P -
For those who don't know, Merodea is a digital platform for the girlboss in Puerto Rico. My internship consisted in writing articles, researching and taking photos for them. I would go into the office Mondays and Fridays except for when I had finals. I really enjoyed this opportunity, it helped me realized that I really enjoyed writing and that I might actually do this in the future. The internship lasted 3 months so I've finished now. It really taught me a lot about talking to brands, planning events and of course, writing. One of the best experiences was to be able to write an article that I pitched. It was basically a local alternative to the Unicorn Frappuccino back when it was trending. It was an awesome experience. I made friends and met people that I admire. It wasn't perfect, of course, but I would definitely advice anyone to try an internship out because you don't know what opportunities you might get out of it.

I officially finished my second year of University and I couldn't be more proud of myself (how cheesy of me). Not only did I have this internship, I also had 18 credits. Which if you know me in real life, you know because I complained about it constantly. I finished the semester with straight A! The only time in my college career that I've gotten all As, all the other times I've gotten one B. So, yeah! awesome! haha! I'm just glad to be done with all those freaking credits haha.
- W H A T N O W ? -
The beginning of summer always brings the prospect of a job, and even though I always say this, I mean it this time. I'm going to find a job. I have to if I want to go to the semester abroad in January. Other than that, I also have another blog that I've been trying to make more professional, it's called Femme Now if you wanted to check it out. The other thing that I want to do is get my driver's linscence, more specific a learner's permit because ahhhh I'm a scary-cat and I waited a long ass time. Also, it's only been a few weeks of summer and my sleep schedule is already royally fucked. I'm literally waking up at 4PM and falling asleep at 5AM, it's bad. If you have any advice, that would be lovely.
Other than that, I also want to get back into reading. I used to be a big reader back in high school but I've been in a stump for a while now. But I really want to get back into it! If there's any books you want to recommend, please leave it in the comments below.
Also, should get back in this blog? I'm not sure exactly what to talk about here if I'm being honest. There's some post ideas that I have but with my room, and the apartment in general, being very dark. There's no obvious places for direct sunlight that are good for taking photos so I'm kinda in a lost. I've also being thinking of incorporating more geek-y themes as well like talking about Wonder Woman and book reviews and stuff. I don't know. What do you think?
